HE SAID "EXTEND"

James is concerned that word hasn't fully gotten out about the extension of THE ADVENTURES OF NERVOUS BOY.

I'll do my part by posting here, although I'm pretty sure at this point the only people who read this never-updated blog are people who already know we're extending.

That said, if you haven't seen NERVOUS BOY, you should consider coming to one of these final performances. This show is playing like gangbusters. Last weekend we sold out two of the shows and got very gratifying uproarious laughter and gasps. After the show Saturday night, I had an opportunity to watch a beautiful digital video of the show and realized:

1) what a superbly visual production this is, and
2) how amazing the cast is.

This was my first opportunity to observe the work of my colleagues in a relaxed way, and I was just bursting with pride by the end. Nosedive manages to match extreme talent and hard work with a friendly, funny, low-maintenance, diva-free work environment, and it must feel sweet for them to have scored some long-overdue attention with this show. I feel insanely lucky to have gotten to come along for this ride, and it's so cool that we get to do it six more times.

Anyway, just to flog, here's four nice things that have been written about us recently, and here's a link to all the info about the extension, which is June 29, 30-July 1 & July 6-8, Thursday through Saturday. All shows at 8 p.m. at the Gene Frankel Underground on 24 Bond Street.

I'd like to write a bit about what I've learned about how to be an actor from this show. Let's see if I manage to get around to it...

ROOLIN'!

UPDATE: Along the very same lines, congratulations Matt Freeman!

*************************************************************************

For us denizens of Off Off Broadway, Martin Denton is our Brantleyesque figure, so this is particularly thrilling.

Not convinced? Here's some pictures of me and James! Remember how some people said the movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith just had too much hotness to bebelievable? We've got the same problem, baby.

ALL THUMBS

Well, you don't get one of these everyday. This is particularly sweet because for a crew putting on such a dark, antisocial, and complex play as Nervous Boy, the Nosedive crowd is one of the friendliest, most laid-back, low-maintenance group of theater practitioners I've ever worked with. A lot of these guys have been working together for years and they instantly made me feel at home.

Speaking of good reviews, Isaac just sold me a ticket to The Most Wonderful Love and George just sold me a ticket to Dead City. Thanks for the recommends, guys!
